My husband got this recipe from a friend at work. It's strong-tasting but very savory and filling. Ingredients:
1-1/2 lbs ground chuck |
small dash salt |
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced |
15 oz. tomato sauce |
2 cans tomato soup |
1 can black-eyed peas with jalapenos |
1 can mexicorn, or whole-kernel corn with red and green bell pepper |
cavender's greek seasoning |
Directions:
1. Brown ground chuck, salting very lightly. 2. Lightly brown sausage, just till grease shows. 3. Mix all ingredients and cook on low, stirring often, till flavors marry, at least 3-4 hours. |
