Ingredients:
3 tablespoon(s) butter, sliced into thin slices |
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
3 tablespoon(s) cornstarch |
1 dash(es) ground nutmeg |
1 cup(s) sugar |
3 pound(s) tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced |
Directions:
1. Add first 5 ingredients to crockpot. Stir well to coat the apples with all the spices. Dot with butter. Cook on low for about 4 hours. Stir once during cooking. Check to make sure the apples are soft, but nut mushy like applesauce. Should be like apple pie filling. Great served warm with vanilla ice cream |
