An easy to prepare chili that can be made using almost anything I have in the house. It is always a success. Ingredients:
5 cans of beans (navy, kidney, chick peas, romano, any kinds) |
1 large container of hot or medium chunky salsa |
3 lbs ground beef (if desired, may be left out if vegetarian) |
2 cans mushrooms (optional) |
2 cups frozen corn (optional) |
1/4 cup chili powder (or to taste) |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef if using. 2. Drain and rinse beans well. 3. Combine all ingredients in large slow cooker and stir to mix salsa in. 4. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. 5. Serve over with crusty rolls or over rice. |
