This is another kids and adults' favorite and another good recipe from Diana Rattray and want to post it here with my public recipes. Enjoy. Ingredients:
4 large tart apples, cored |
1/2 cup apple juice |
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed |
12 red cinnamon candies |
4 tablespoons butter |
8 vanilla caramels |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Peel about 3/4-inch off the top of each apple and place them in a crockpot. 2. Pour apple juice over apples and fill the center of each apple with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 3 cinnamon candies, 1 tablespoon of butter, and 2 vanilla caramels. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon. 3. Cover and cook on low until apples are tender but not too soft. Serve warm as is or with cream or whipped topping. Mmmm - good. |
