I like to add cooked barley, rice, or egg noodles to this to make it stretch. Ingredients:
1/2 c chopped celery |
1/2 c chopped carrots |
1/2 c chopped onions |
1/2 c cubed potatoes |
1/2 c frozen corn |
1/2 c frozen green beans or peas |
1 tsp dried oregano |
1/2 tsp dried basil |
1/2 tsp dried thyme |
1/4 tsp pepper |
1/2 tsp marjoram |
1 clove minced garlic |
1 lb cubed beef stew meat |
2 tsp worcestershire |
1 bay leaf |
2 cans beef broth |
Directions:
1. Place cut up vegetables in a slowcooker. 2. In a bowl mix the next 6 spices and rub over meat. 3. Add meat, worcestershire, bay leaf, and broth to slowcooker. 4. Cook on low 10 hours or high 5 hours. |
