found this on the what_a_crock community on livejournal. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups dried white beans |
3/4 cup fresh pork (salt, ham, diced or slab bacon or small ham hock) |
3/4 cup diced onion |
6 -8 cups water |
1 dash salt & pepper, to taste |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 tablespoon molasses |
Directions:
1. Wash beans and soak overnight. 2. Add some more water if it's all been absorbed. 3. Put in the crock pot with the pork product of choice, onion, brown sugar, mustard, molasses & seasoning. 4. Cook in the crockpot till done. (Low 8-12 hours, high 2-4). |
