Here is the best way to make cabbage rolls, they are cooked slowly over 8-10 hours, and taste oh so good when finished!!
Ingredients:
12 large cabbage leaves
1 lb lean ground beef or 1 lb lamb
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon leaves thyme
Directions:
1. Wash cabbage leaves.
2. Bring 4 cups water to an boil and turn off heat.
3. Soak leaves in water for 5 minutes; remove, drain and cool.
4. Combine ground meat, rice, salt, pepper, and thyme.
5. Place 2 tablespoons meat mixture on each leaf and roll firmly.
6. Stack in slow cooker.
7. Combine tomato paste and water; pour over stuffed cabbabe.
8. Cook on low setting for 8-10 hours.
