CROCK POT VERY RICH BEEF STEW This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Harrell Estate in Rockwall, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
1-1/2 pounds stew beef in 1/2 inch cubes |
1 can tomato paste |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar |
1/2 cup red wine |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
4 small garlic cloves |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or more to taste |
1 bay leaf |
2 tablespoons raisins |
2 whole cloves |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in crock pot then cover and cook on low four hours. |
