My variation on a simple theme. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons chili powder |
2 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander |
2 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey |
1 tablespoon onion, minced |
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans |
Directions:
1. Mix together all the herbs and spices. 2. In a skillet, cook ground turkey until no longer pink. Drain. 3. Add onion and 1 tbsp of seasoning mix. 4. In the crock pot, add tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans and two more teaspoons of seasoning mix. 5. Add turkey to the crock pot. 6. Stir everything together. 7. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. |
