A simple triple-tomato flavor sauce good for meatballs. Ingredients:
4 large tomatoes (halved and quartered) |
1/2 large onion (diced) |
1/2 cup tomato paste |
1 tablespoon minced garlic paste |
2 tablespoons dried oregano flakes |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
3 teaspoons brown sugar |
2 bay leaves |
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
Directions:
1. Place tomatoes on bottom of crock pot. 2. Add onion, tomato paste, garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, soy sauce, sugar, and tomato sauce. 3. Cover and cook for 8 – 9 hours total on low. |
