This is a very easy version of Chile Verde that is quickly put together. The results are delicious! Ingredients:
8 ounces whole roasted chilies |
3 lbs boneless pork, cut into 1-inch cubes |
2 cups chicken broth |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
hot cooked rice, for 4-6 people |
Directions:
1. Tear the whole chilies into rough strips and put into the slow-cooker. 2. Stir in the remaining ingredients. 3. cover and cook on LO heat for 8 hours or on HI heat for 4 hours. 4. Serve over rice. |
