Crock-Pot Maple Sugar Baked Beans With Ham |

My family absolutely loves these beans, even as leftovers. They are extremely easy to make and go great with a barbeque or as a stand alone meal. I usually cook these overnight. The beans must be completely softened before adding to the sugar or they will harden. Ingredients:
1 lb dried navy beans |
1 cup water |
1/2 lb diced ham, pre-cooked |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
1/4 cup maple syrup |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
Directions:
1. Place beans in a saucepan and cover with water. Boil beans for 10 minutes then cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. 2. Drain beans and place into crockpot. 3. Add remaining ingredients. 4. Cook on low 10-12 hours, high 4-5 hours. |
