Crock Pot Jambalaya Ingredients:
14 oz chicken |
13 oz smoked sausage |
1 medium onion |
1 green bell pepper |
4 stalks celery |
5 garlic cloves |
28 oz crushed tomatoes |
1 1/2 cup chicken broth |
2 teaspoons dried oregano |
2 teaspoons dried parsley |
2 teaspoons cajun seasoning |
1 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
2 cups raw brown rice |
Directions:
1. Combine chicken, sausage, chopped bell pepper, celery and chopped onion in slow cooker. 2. Add tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano, parsley, cajun seasoning, and pepper; stir gently. 3. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. 4. About 30 to 45 minutes before eating, add hot cooked rice; heat thoroughly. |
