Free up your oven for the holidays and cook your stuffing in the crock pot. This recipe is used by my family for the holidays! Great flavor and never any left overs. You may want to double the batch if you want left overs. Ingredients:
1 stick margarine/butter |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 cup chopped celery |
1/4 cup parsley |
1 1/2 tsp. -2 tsp. poultry seasoning |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/4 tsp. pepper |
12 cups bread cubes (the kind in the bag works great) |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups chicken bouillion |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in pan add onions and celery 2. saute until tender 3. Stir in parley (can add mushrooms too) 4. Combine poultry seasoning, salt and pepper 5. I mix in with the butter mixture. 6. Mix together egg and broth. 7. Toss altogether. 8. Spoon into a crock pot. 9. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 HOUR and 10. then on LOW for 1 1/2 - 4 hours. |
