Ingredients:
1 cups dried beans
1 cup barley
4 potatoes, (cut into chunks)
1 large onion, sliced
1 salt and pepper to taste
2 pounds beef stew meat
6 cups water (just enough to cover)
Directions:
1. After adding all this to the crockpot, cover with water and place in crock pot and cook for at least 8 hours better if overnight

3. This recipe is constantly evolving. This week I added paprika and a clove of garlic with good results. The right amount of salt and pepper is determined by trial and error, but better put add less rather than more in the beginning.
