I love to make this chili on a cold Maine day! Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans (rinsed and drained) |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained |
1 large onion, diced |
1 green pepper, diced |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
salt |
pepper |
chili powder |
clove |
shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Cook ground beef in a skillet on medium until brown, drain. 2. Add cooked beef and the rest of ingredients in the crock pot. 3. Add spices to taste (I often add a little hot sauce as well to give it a kick). 4. Cook in crock pot on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for about 4-5 hours. 5. Garnish individual bowls with cheese. |
