I modified a beef stew recipe to make this Chicken stew recipe. It's an easy to make meal that goes great with some warm rolls or biscuits. Ingredients:
1 lb chicken breast, cut in 1 inch cubes |
1/3 cup flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
2 1/2 cups chicken broth |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 bay leaf |
1/2 teaspoon paprika |
2 carrots, sliced |
2 russet potatoes or 4 yukon gold potatoes, diced |
1 onion, chopped |
2 stalks celery, sliced |
1 cup green beans (optional) |
Directions:
1. Place cut up chicken in crock pot. 2. Mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a small bowl, and pour over chicken; stir to coat chicken with flour. 3. Add remaining ingredients (except green beans) and mix well. 4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or high 4-5 hours. 5. Add green beans (optional) 1 hour before serving. |
