The abundance of apples and onions provide all the liquid needed in this unusual chicken curry. Serve this over rice, sprinkled with sliced almonds and bits of candied ginger. Ingredients:
3 onions, sliced thinly |
4 apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 tablespoon curry powder |
1 frying chicken, cut up |
Directions:
1. Place the sliced onions and apples on the bottom of the crock pot. 2. Sprinkle half the seasonings on top of the onions and apples. 3. Add the chicken pieces and finally sprinkle the remaining seasonings on top of the chicken. 4. Cook on low for 7-8 hours. |
