This tasty soup is best on cold winter days. Ingredients:
1 1/2-2 lbs round steaks, cubed |
1 tablespoon oil |
2 cups diced carrots |
2 cups diced beets |
1 cup chopped onion |
2 cups chopped cabbage |
2 potatoes, diced |
1 cup diced celery |
3 cups water |
1 (12 ounce) can tomato soup |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 cup half-and-half cream |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Brown steak in oil; drain. 2. Place veggies in crock pot; place steak on top. 3. Mix remaining ingredients except cream and sour cream, and pour over steak. 4. Cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours. 5. 45 minutes prior to serving, skim off fat, and add cream and sour cream to crock pot. |
