Crock pot? Check. Healthy breakfast? Check. MAJOR YUM? Check. Put it all in the crock pot at night, and wake up to the smell of warm apple pie. Tastes great with some walnuts stirred in just before serving. (Hint: For easy clean-up, use a crock-pot liner, especially if you have an old crock pot without a removable inner. Ingredients:
1 cup steel cut oats |
2 cups water |
2 cups almond milk |
1 apple, peeled & chopped |
1/3 cup raisins |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Put oats, apple, raisins, salt, and cinnamon in the crock pot. 2. Pour in water & almond milk and stir. 3. Cook on low for at least 7 hours. |
