a holiday version of a type of hummus I saw in a cookbook
Ingredients:
1.5 (15 ounce) cans garbanzo beans
2 teaspoons bottled lemon juice
1/2 cup chives
3 cups red bell peppers, minced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. puree the beans with the paprika,they don't have to be completely smooth;in fact a little texture is a good thing.
2. in a bowl mix the bean with the remaining ingredients.
3. serve with toasted pita wedges.
