An untried recipe. Sounds good and easy. Ingredients:
1 (2 1/2 lb) broiler-fryer chickens, cut in pieces |
3/4 teaspoon paprika |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1 1/2 cups plain yogurt |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
2 teaspoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
Directions:
1. Wash and dry chicken pieces. Place in shallow baking dish. Combine paprika, basil and garlic salt; sprinkle over chicken pieces. 2. In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup yogurt and soy sauce until smooth. Brush chicken pieces with yogurt mixture. 3. Bake uncovered at 400° F for 20 minutes. Turn chicken over and baste with juices. Bake 20 minutes more at 350°F. 4. In a small bowl, stir 1 cup yogurt and flour until creamy. Spread over chicken. Sprinkle with basil. Bake 3 to 5 additional minutes. |
