Crispy Thumbprint Cookies |

I got this recipe off the Aldi's food market web site. We made them for christmas and they were very good. Ingredients:
1 pkg. yellow cake mix |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup water |
1 egg |
3 cups rice krispie cereal, crushed |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
6 tbsn strawberry or raspberry preserves |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. 2. Combine cake mix, oil, water and egg in large bowl. Beat with electric mixer at med. speed until well blended. 3. Stir in cereal and walnut; mix well. 4. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Use thumb to make indentation in each cookie. 5. Spoon about 1/2 tspn preserves into center of each cookie. 6. Bake 9-11 min. or until golden brown. 7. Cool cookies for 1 minute on cookie sheets. 8. Remove to wire racks; cool completely. |
