Crispy Rice for Sizzling Rice Soup |

To go with sizzling rice soup recipe... Ingredients:
1 cup whole long-grain rice, rinsed |
1 1/2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Combine rice and water in a large pot. 2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover. 3. Simmer for 30 minutes. 4. Remove from heat and allow to cool. 5. Preheat oven to 300°F. 6. Spread the rice over an ungreased baking sheet, no more than 1/4 inch thick. 7. Bake rice for 50-55 minutes until dry. 8. Cool rice and cut into 2 squares. 9. Store in a canister until needed, but do not freeze. |
