Barbecue sauce on pizza? Yep - try it, you will like it. This pizza is good for those who suffer from IBS. Ingredients:
2 prepared pizza dough |
2/3 cup smoky sweet barbecue sauce |
1 cup cooked shredded skinless chicken breast |
1/4 cup finely chopped scallion |
12 -14 ounces ketchup |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
1/4 cup honey |
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients for barbecue in a small saucepan and simmer frequently until reduced, about 15-20 minutes. Makes about 1 1/2 cups sauce. 2. Preheat over to 450 degrees. 3. Brush dough very lightly with olive oil. 4. Bake untopped dough for about 5 minutes until it is dry but not browning. 5. Remove from oven, spread evenly with barbecue sauce and sprinkle with chicken and scallions. 6. Bake for another 5-7 minutes or until edges are crispy and lightly browned. |
