These are served great as a snack or as a side dish...so yummy Ingredients:
2 large (about 800g) onions |
plain flour |
2 eggs, lightly beaten |
1 cup (80g) grated parmesan cheese |
2 cups (140g) stale breadcrumbs |
2 teaspoons seasoned pepper |
oil for deep-frying |
Directions:
1. Cut onions into 5mm slices. Toss rings in flour; dip into eggs, then combined cheese, breadcrumbs and pepper. Refrigerate onion rings 1 hour. Deep-fry onion rings in hot oil until browned and crisp; drain on absorbent paper. |
