For a light, crispy batter, dip the fish (or chicken) in an egg wash before coating. Use butter to fry. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1 tablespoon salt |
3/4 teaspoon celery salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
3/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 1/2 teaspoons mustard |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1/4 teaspoon ginger |
1/4 teaspoon thyme |
1/8 teaspoon basil |
1/8 teaspoon oregano |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients. Store in a covered container and use as needed. Makes enough to coat about 2 lbs. of fish. |
