Wrap really great flavor around poultry, fish and meats. I found this recipe on a Chex recipe card. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1/2 cup melted butter |
1/3 cup flour |
1 teaspoon seasoning salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 cup corn chex, crushed |
6 -8 chicken pieces |
1/4 cup flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons onion salt |
1 egg |
2 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
1 cup corn chex, crushed |
1 lb fish fillet |
1/4 cup flour |
1 1/8 teaspoons seasoning salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/8 teaspoon thyme |
1/8 teaspoon oregano |
1 egg |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon water |
1 cup corn chex, crushed |
6 pork chops |
Directions:
1. Oven Fried Chicken: Dip chicken pieces into mixture of melted butter, flour,. 2. seasoned salt, and pepper. Roll in crumbs. Dry 15 minutes. Bake in shallow pan in 375 oven for 55-60 minutes or until browned and crisp. Do not turn. Makes 6-8 pieces. 3. Pan Fried Fish: Dip pieces of fish into mixture of flour, onion salt. Then dip into egg, lemon juice, and worcestershire sauce. Coat with crumbs. Dry 5 minutes. Pan fry until coating is golden brown and fish flakes easily. Makes: 1 pound of fish fillets. 4. Breaded Pork Chops: Dip chops into mixture of flour, seasoned salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Then dip into mixture of egg, worcestershire sauce, and water. Coat with crumbs. Pan fry. Coats 6 chops. |
