This is a different take on the Rice Krispie bars. A layed dessert with a real good taste. Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine |
4 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows |
6 cups rice krispies |
1 cup white corn syrup |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1 1/3 cups peanut butter |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 milk |
1/2 cup chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. FIRST LAYER: Melt 1/4 cup margarine and add 4 cups marshmellows and melt. 2. Add Rice Krispies and mix well and place in 9X13 buttered pan. 3. SECOND LAYER: Bring corn syrup and brown sugar to a boil. 4. Remove from heat and add peanut butter. 5. Stir well and pour over Rice Krispies. 6. Spread and cool. 7. THIRD LAYER: Bring sugar, remaining 1/4 cup margarine and milk to a rolling boil. 8. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and 1/2 cup marshmellows. 9. Beat until thick. 10. Spread over other layers. 11. Best to set overnight. |
