Crispy Buttermilk Chicken |

This is a great version of fried chicken and goes great with any salad! Ingredients:
2 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon thyme, dried |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon ground black pepper, blend |
2 cups buttermilk |
1 whole chicken, cut up |
1 cup all purpose flour |
4 cups oil, for frying |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, blend first 4 ingredients. In a resealable plastic bag, combine 1/2 the seasoning mixture, buttermilk, and chicken. Let marinate at least an hour. 2. In a seperate plastic bag, blend flour and remaining seasoning mixture. Remove chicken from marinade, and discard marinade. In batches, coat chicken in flour mixture. 3. In deep fryer, heat oil to 350 degrees and fry the chicken in batches for about 15 minutes. 4. Enjoy! |
