I enjoyed these. They are definately crunchy. They spread out big and thin. Very tasty. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup lard or 1 cup margarine |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
3/4 cup white sugar |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 tablespoon hot water |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup nuts, chopped (optional) |
6 ounces chocolate chips |
2 cups rolled oats |
Directions:
1. Combine lard and sugars, until fluffy. 2. Mix in eggs, hot water and vanilla. 3. Blend in dry ingredients. 4. Drop onto a greased cookie sheet. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. |
