in response to a request for a crisp cookie recipe Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 cup butter |
4 eggs |
4 1/2 cups sifted flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 tablespoons milk |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Add eggs one at a time beating well. 3. Mix the dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to the batter. 4. Mix well then chill for 2-3 hours. 5. Roll dough 1/8 - 1/4 thick on a floured surface. 6. Cut with a 2 cookie cutter and place 2 apart on a greased baking sheet. 7. Bake at 425F for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. 8. Cool 1 minutes on the baking pan then move to a baking rack to finish cooling. |
