Crisco Bunny Cake Ingredients:
1 pkg. (18.25 oz.) yellow cake mix |
1 cup water |
1/3 cup crisco oil |
3 eggs |
prepare cake according to package instructions, using 2 standard round cake pans |
buttery cream frosting |
1/2 cup butter flavor crisco shortening or 1/2 butter flavor crisco stick |
7 cups confectioners sugar |
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla |
1/2 cup milk, plus more if needed |
Directions:
1. Prepare cake according to package instructions, using 2 standard round cake pans 2. In medium mixing bowl, beat butter flavor crisco shortening 3. Add confectioners sugar, one cup at a time 4. Add vanilla 5. Slowly blend in milk to desired consistency, adding up to 2 tbsp. more if needed 6. Beat on high speed for 5 minutes, or until smooth and creamy 7. Assembly: 8. Cut cake into 3 slices - the 2 ends/edges will be cut like a half moon which will be the ears and the middle will be the bowtie, when finished 9. Arrange cakes on large serving plate 10. Frost entire cake; sprinkle with coconut and decorate |
