French Canadian Breakfast spread. Usually served in restaurants at breakfast. I asked for this recipe on another site. I cannot give an amount b/c it depends on how thick you spread it on your toast. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground pork |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 cup water |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon allspice |
2 tablespoons milk |
Directions:
1. Simmer first 3 ingredients for 3 to 4 hours. 2. Add the second 3 ingredients and simmer for a few minutes. 3. Beat well. Stir in the milk. 4. Put into bowls to cool, stirring occasionally while cooling. 5. Store covered in fridge. 6. NOTE:. 7. A layer of fat may coat the top; you can remove this as you use the spread. |
