Quick and easy recipe. Taken from a Pillsbury Cookbook. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls |
8 ounces brie cheese |
1 egg, beaten |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Unroll dough. 3. Separate dough crosswise into 2 sections. 4. Pat dough and firmly press perforations to seal, forming 2 squares. 5. Place 1 square on ungreased cookie sheet. 6. Place cheese on center of dough. 7. With small cookie or canape cutter, cut 1 shape from each corner of remaining square; set cutouts aside. 8. Place remaining square on top of cheese round. 9. Press dough evenly around cheese; fold bottom edges over top edges. 10. Gently stretch dough evenly around cheese; press to seal completely. 11. Brush with beaten egg. 12. Top with cutouts; brush with additional beaten egg. 13. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 24 minutes or until golden brown. 14. Cool 15 minutes before serving. |
