This takes a different spin on tacos. Instead of taco shells, you use crecsent rolls Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. ground beef |
1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce |
1 (8 oz ) can pillsbury crescent rolls |
3/4 cup chopped onions |
1 pkg. taco seasoning |
1 cup shredded cheese (i like the fiesta (mexican) blends |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees 2. Saute ground beef and onion 3. Drain fat 4. Stir tomato sauce and taco seasoning into the beef and onions 5. Simmer for 5 minutes 6. Separate the crescent rolls into triangles; Place into an ungreased 10 inch pie pan (I use a rectangle backing pan); press together to form a crust. 7. Spoon the beef mixture into the pie crust 8. Sprinkle with the cheddar cheese 9. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes 10. If I have some in the house, I like to crush up a few doritos or tortilla chips to add a little crunch to the taco bake. I also like to have sour cream and salsa on the side to use as additional toppings. |
