A friend just emailed this to me, and I had to share! We were talking about the upcoming football parties, and this just sounds perfect! You can do the easy squeezy with frozen meatballs and jarred sauce, OR you can kick it up and make your own! Read more ! Kids can even help. Awesome! Not sure where she got the recipe, I have already added the Italian Seasoning and the cheese to the recipe, cuz I know I will when I fix it this weekend! lol Ingredients:
24 frozen italian meatballs |
2 cans crescent rolls (1 can will cover about 12 meatballs) |
shredded mozzerella cheese |
parmesan cheese |
small jar of pasta sauce (i like classico roasted garlic and black olive) |
italian seasoning |
Directions:
1. Boil meatballs until warmed. 2. Unwrap crescents, press perferations into 2 rectangles, cut each in half lenghth-wise and then in thirds. 3. Each rectangle should cover 6 meatballs. 4. Cover each meatball with a pinch of cheese 5. Sprinkle with parmesan 6. Wrap crescent portions around meatballs. 7. Bake in 350 oven until browned. (Probably about 12 min) 8. *If I am using jarred sauce, I simmer it with some italian seasoning, garlic, minced onion, etc to wake up the flavor, and make it taste more like homemade. 9. Serve with warm Pasta sauce for dipping. |
