CREOLE ORANGE FLAVORED PECANS This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Corrigan Estate in Justin, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/3 cup fresh orange juice |
2 tablespoons grated orange peel |
1-1/2 cups pecan halves |
Directions:
1. Cook sugar, orange juice and orange peel in large saucepan stirring constantly until thread forms when spoon is lifted above pan.
2. Add pecan halves and stir until mixture turns to white crystals and nuts cling together.
3. Spread and separate on waxed paper covered cookie sheet then cool.
