Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons paprika |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 (4- to 4 1/2-pound) dressed duckling, cut up |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
melted shortening |
1/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt, paprika, and pepper; mix well, Dredge duckling in flour mixture. 2. Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat; add melted shortening to equal a 1/4-inch depth in skillet. Heat butter and shortening to 350°; add duckling, and fry until golden brown, turning frequently. 3. Reduce heat to low; add water. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until duckling is tender. |
