Yogurt is a dairy product produced by bacterial fermentation of milk ( even soy milk ) . It is nutritionally rich in protein and calcium . Also helps your body to stay cool . It can be served with just anything even plain rice / roti or eat it on its own . Read more . It can also be turned into Sweet Flavoured Lassi ( Punjab ) , Spice flavoured ButterMilk or Ayran ( Turkey ) .
Ingredients:
1 c boiled cold water
3 tbsp of full cream milk pwd
1/2 c plain yogurt from supermarket
Directions:
1. Mix the water with milk pwd .
2. Pour into a glass bottle ( Even a clean jam , pasta sauce bottle )
3. Mix the yogurt in .
4. Keep at a room temp of 30 deg C .
5. Or leave it in a warm place like inside the oven .
6. It will ferment within hours .
7. Can leave it outside for 8 to 12 hrs until set .
8. Chill it .
9. Everytime you use it , just top it up with the thick milk .
10. Make sure to change into new bottle every few weeks .
