This is a Paula Deen recipe....Who doesnt love grits in the South... This puts a new spin on cheese grits. Ingredients:
3 cups hot cooked grits |
1/4 cup butter |
! cup milk |
2 large eggs, slightly beaten |
2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Lightly grease a 9 in baking dish. 3. In a medium bowl, combine hot grits and butter: stirring until butter melts. 4. Stir in milk and beaten eggs, 5. Add cheese, salt, and pepper. 6. Stir until cheese is melted. 7. Spoon grits mixture into prepared baking dish. 8. Bake 50 to 60 minutes. 9. Let grits stand 10 minutes before serving. |
