âWith my easy recipe, even someone who has never made homemade gravy before can be assured of success,â says Phyllis Schmalz of Kansas City, Kansas. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
2 tablespoons turkey drippings |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
2 cups chicken broth |
1/4 cup whole milk |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, mix cornstarch, drippings, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually whisk in broth and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Yield: 2-1/3 cups. |
