This is a delicious soup....always good for fall weather when you dont want to cook alot.... Ingredients:
2 tablespoons onion |
1/2 pkg bacon, chopped fine or chunky |
3 tablespoons flour |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
dash of garlic powder |
dash of basil |
dash of oregano |
dah of thyme |
2 cups chopped tomatoes with juices |
2 cups milk |
i cup mushrooms (optional) |
Directions:
1. Saute onion and bacon. 2. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, pepper and other seasonings. 3. Remove from heat. 4. Stir in tomatoes and bring to a boil for one minute. 5. Let cool until lukewarm. 6. Add milk and (mushrooms if desired.) 7. Heat again till hot enough to eat. 8. Tomato and milk quanity can be waived depending on how milky or tomatoey you like it. |
