CREAMY TIRAMISU This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pearson Estate in Caddo Mills Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
4 ounce package ladyfingers |
1/2 cup espresso coffee brewed |
2 tablespoons brandy |
6 eggs separated |
6 tablespoons granulated sugar |
1-1/2 pounds cream cheese softened |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1/4 cup sour cream |
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder |
Directions:
1. Mix cream cheese, heavy cream and sour cream together. 2. Spread ladyfingers on a large baking sheet. 3. In small bowl combine coffee and brandy then sprinkle ladyfingers with this mixture. 4. In medium bowl beat egg yolks and sugar with electric mixer for 5 minutes. 5. Add cream cheese mixture and blend on low speed until combined. 6. In large bowl beat egg whites until soft peaks form about 3 minutes. 7. Using a spatula fold whites into cream cheese mixture. 8. Line bottom 8 cup soufflé dish with half of the ladyfingers. 9. Spread half the cream cheese mixture on ladyfingers and sift 2 tablespoons cocoa over surface. 10. Repeat layers ending with cocoa. 11. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours. 12. To serve spoon onto serving plate. |
