CREAMY SWISS SPINACH DIP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hoyt Estate in Allen, Texas in 1989. Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese softened |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
9 ounces frozen creamed spinach thawed |
2 cups diced swiss cheese |
2 unsliced round bread loaves |
Directions:
1. In small microwave mixing bowl beat cream cheese and garlic powder until smooth. 2. Stir in spinach and Swiss cheese. 3. Cover and microwave on high 8 minutes or until cheese is melted stirring occasionally. 4. Meanwhile cut a 4” circle in center of one loaf of bread. 5. Remove bread leaving 1” at bottom of loaf. 6. Cut removed bread and second loaf into cubes. 7. Spoon hot spinach dip into bread shell then serve with bread cubes. |
