Ingredients:
3 whole(s) onions quarted and thinly sliced |
1 tablespoon(s) butter |
1 1/2 cup(s) water |
4 1/2 teaspoon(s) chicken bouillon |
1 3/4 cup(s) milk |
1/4 cup(s) flour |
6 ounce(s) swiss cheese shredded |
dash(es) pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Saute onions in butter until lightly browned. Stir in water and bouillon, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Combine flour and 1/2 cup milk, mix until smooth. Gradually add flour mixture to onions, stir in remaining milk. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Keep stirring until thickened. Reduce heat to low, stir un 3/4 cip swiss cheese and pepper. SPring with remaining swiss cheese before serving. |
