From an old cookbook entitled Home Cookin by Lela J. Clarke. The best coleslaw recipe ever! Prep time includes chill time. Ingredients:
1 medium cabbage |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
6 tablespoons mayonnaise (we prefer kraft olive oil mayo) |
1 teaspoon onion salt |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. Grate or chop cabbage finely. Mix all ingredients & blend well. Chill 3 hours or overnight. You may need to add a bit more mayo before serving. |
