Amazing. Creamy and rich. Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups milk |
1/2 cup sugar, divided |
1 cinnamon stick |
1/2 cup long-grain rice |
2 egg yolks |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Heat milk, 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in saucepan just to boil; stir in rice and reduce heat to low. 2. Cover and simmer 40 minutes. 3. Whisk yolks, cream, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla in bowl. 4. Stir into rice mixture. 5. Bring to boil; cook, stirring, 2 minutes. 6. Remove cinnamon. 7. Cool 30 minutes. |
