Creamy Rice Pudding

I got it from the book, Baking without eggs by Radha Soami Satsang Beas.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup rice
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
4 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Directions:
1. Wash rice well.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Pour into a greased baking dish.
4. Bake at 300degrees F for 2 hours.
5. Stir several times.
6. The mixture must not be allowed to boil.
7. Serve hot or cold.
