This looks like an interesting change from the usual holiday egg nog. I plan to try it out this Thanksgiving. from the Herb Companion. Ingredients:
3 cups milk |
1/2 cup plain yogurt |
1/2 cup whipping cream |
2 pasteurized liquid egg-whites or 2 egg substitute |
1 cup pumpkin |
1/4 cup honey |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 teaspoon ginger |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Put milk, yogurt, cream and eggs into a blender or mixer and blend/beat until frothy. 2. Stir in pumpkin, honey, sugar and mix thoroughly. 3. Blend in the spices. 4. Pour the eggnog into glasses and sprinkle with nutmeg. |
